Hi! My name is Brianna M. Longuepee.

Welcome to my portfolio this is where you will see all my work from design, illustrations, and personal work! Hope you enjoy!

Hot Wheels Blind Box

Objective: Create a trapezoid packaging for a product while using the branding of the company and creating a product that they don't already have.Solution: I stuck to Hot Wheels brand colors and found a rounded San-serif to pair with their logo text, for easy reading and simplicity. I wanted to keep the packaging clean and more mature, as adults collect Hot Wheels as well. To keep it simple but interesting, I illustrated the cars and kept other vectors to a minimum.Program: Illustrator
Time: 36 hours

Earths Own Milk Carton

Objective: Given clients our instructor thought would suit us, and redesign the packaging for a select item that the client produces.Solution: Earth's Own is a very planet-friendly brand, so I picked nature-related and soy milk colors, being the green and soft beige/tan colors. I kept the purple they had on their original packaging since it is complementary to green. For the font pairing with their logo font, I wanted to keep a natural feel but still let it be easy to read.Program: Illustrator and Procreate
Time: 12.5 hours

Baby Boutique Clothing Box

Objective: We had been given multiple options to place fake bids on fake jobs. For this one i had to create an 8x8x3 box for baby clothing.Solution: I picked a rounded, almost serif font to give a friendly and trusting feeling. I made the illustrations on Procreate so I could add a subtle texture. I kept the illustrations basic to keep it minimalist, as that has been a popular style, but added fun little animal illustrations to make it cute and still appeal to young children.Program: Illustrator, Photoshop and Procreate
Time: 9.5 hours

Skills Canada Provincials Competition

Objective: Compete in a 6-hour competition for Skills Canada that is illustrator-based and complete a logo, label and Instagram carousel for the company provided.Solution: Being on a time limit, I went for the obvious yellow color and matched the rest from there. Knowing purple works with yellow, and it is associated with royalty, which, being high-end, was something we had to think about. I needed three colors so then I changed the honeycomb to orange. I made the honeycomb pattern in the designs so I could have something big to tie them together easily. I used pictures that were bright so they would stand out with the purple and match the logo.Program: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Time: 6 hours

Boardgame Reskin

Objective: Choose a board game and come up with a new theme and redesign the box, game board, player pieces, cards, and game sheet, but keeping the objective of the game.Solution: To keep the spooky vibe of Clue, I went with a kind of Halloween vibe in an abandoned home. I used a simpler illustration style to keep it from being too creepy. Just used similar rooms to what is normally in the board game, and used silhouettes of items in the game to add texture to the yard on the board and on the box. I put more detail on the front of the box, as that is what draws people in, and it could be done without making it too busy and still match with the board.Program: Illustrator
Time: 30 hours

Country's Cool Again Song Cover

Objective: Collaborate with a photography student to take pictures to be used to create a cover for a song of our choosing.Solution: I chose Lainey Wilson's Country's Cool Again. The song is about people piggybacking off others to do things or to dress a certain way to look cool. I wanted to represent the message it talks about throughout the whole thing by using stereotypical country attire. Because people start wearing cowboy boots and hats, and turn it into their personality, which tends to bother some people, and that is what it is about. I worked with the wonderful Luka Hall, who took the beautiful picture.Program: Illustrator and Photoshop
Time: 6 hours

Bolgers Sweater Design

Objective: This was done for Bolgers Motorsports in Charlottetown to sell in their store and give away as promotional items at motorist events. They wanted it based on a design they had a while ago that was popular and had people coming back years later.Solution: They liked having the bike straight on, on the side and the texture of the halftones in the other design. So I myself took the picture of the motorcycle as it was his son's and turned it into halftones since they liked that texture. I tested fitting their sayings and business name in multiple layouts, but they liked this one best. For our final addition, they wanted to see a faded flag behind it and still keep it one color. I used an offset path and physically made the the warpped flag on Illustrator and used brushes in Photoshop to fade in the edges.Programs: Illustrator and Photoshop
Time: 10-12 hours

MS Campaign

Objective: We picked a non-profit to make a campaign that included a handout item, in this case a sticker, an informational pamphlet, and a big item, such as a poster.Solution: I chose to do an MS Campaign because my grandmother lives with MS. I myself have never really heard anything about MS, and believe many people don't know enough and that there isn't enough information about it out in the world. I used the orange of the awareness ribbon for my main color, pairing it with other warm colors and a few cool colors to contrast. I wanted the pieces to give information about what MS is, the different types, and how to help.Program: Illustrator and Photoshop
Time: 25.5 hours

Car Vector Illustrations

Objective: Not really anything super specific; these were all made for different projects. Some were made to be put on t-shirts for Christmas gifts for family and friends, and others were made for other projects.Program: Illustrator
Time: 6-8 hours each

Race Poster

Objective: Create a race poster, print it to scale, and deliver it.Solution: I did this for a young man who is my neighbor as his shop burnt and he lost all his race equipment, trophies and this race car. I reached out to his mom and said I wanted to make him something, and she was all on board, so I searched for any picture I could find of this car and the trophies. I stuck to using the main three colors on the car to avoid it being too busy and clashing. I tried to use the bright color to make the car pop out amongst everything since it is all similar colors. I wanted to add the trophies in it as well, so I made them sit on the checkered line, almost as if it were a shelf.Program: Illustrator
Time: 13 hours

Esty Shop Illustrations

Objective: Create designs to put on items and sell in our online stores. Keeping in mind the people who are currently viewing your socials and the people you want to attract.Program: Procreate and Illustrator
Time: 1.5 hours

Graphite Drawings

Objective: I wanted to showcase some drawings I have been commissioned to do all by different people. Started doing commission drawings during my gap year, and it had a big influence on taking Graphic Design.Supplies: Faber-Castell Graphite Pencils and 16x24 paper
Time: 40-50 hours each

I am a second-year student in the Graphic Design program at Holland College. Eldest of 3, animal lover, car appreciator, and secretly a nerd about Marvel and all things artsy.
I have been drawing and crafting since I could hold a pencil. I would make little stories, draw all snow days away, watch how-to-draw videos, and even get my parents to make things with me. I started to get serious with my drawings in high school and tried my hand at realistic graphite drawings. I was always interested in digital art, but never tried it till I started in the Graphic Design program.
I have been really enjoying making things such as packaging, stickers, posters, logos, and any illustrations I can make along the way.
